Double Time

 Double Time

Seventh and Final Champions Club, always a bitter sweet good bye as we wrap up summer lifting and head into fall sports season. But I cannot wait to see how these athletes improved from last year to this year and continue to watch them grow! Until 2025!

Double Time

AMRAP in given time:

2 Minutes of Squat Cleans

2 Minutes of Push Jerks

3 Minutes of Squat Cleans

3 Minutes of Push Jerks

4 Minutes of Squat Cleans

4 Minutes of Push Jerks

Two partner workout, one works and one rests.

Quote of the week. "It is our choices that show what we truly are, far ore than our abilities." So often we see athletes who had some great younger years feel like they no longer need to show up to everything or do everything they once did. It will catch up to you one way or another. This club isn't just meant to make you a great athlete, it's to provide you with a champion mindset for LIFE. Things get tough, don't run or give up. Stick it out and grind through it. EASY is weak. Don't be weak, life isn't meaningful if it's easy and weak. Continue to do all the hard things even when it seems like you have earned what you wanted. Keep pushing and grinding, it will all be worth it!

We got all three pictures again. No girl champion for our last one, it all resets next year so lets see if we can get more athletes, more weekly champions, and more champions in our school!

J.A.M.

J.A.M.

Sixth Champions Club, about to start the last week of July. Where did the summer go?!?!? We only have one champions club week left and it will be a great one! Entering the dog days of summer, you can tell its getting tough to get out of bed and stay motivated. Always important to keep pushing and find those who will push you!

J.A.M.

For Time:

400M Backwards Run

200M Burpee Board Jump

200M Bear Crawl

400M Lunge

400M Run

Quote of the week. "If it were easy, everyone would do it!" There's difference in doing things that are tough and things that are hard. Hard things make you uncomfortable, they are high pressure situations, things you cannot practice for 24/7, things the common person looks at and finds the excuse for. A big one is 'that won't benefit me.' Now physically there's nothing you cannot benefit from when it comes to working out, no matter what you do it is an improvement over doing NOTHING. Even more so the mental part of these workouts is what EVERYONE can gain. So when you get put in a high pressure situation you don't crumble under pressure.

We got all three pictures again. No girl champion, we need to find some more female athletes who want to break through into a CHAMPION MINDSET. We definitely have them here, just need to get them out on a Friday morning!

Group Therapy

  Group Therapy

Fifth Champions Club, during the week of Hodag! For those who don't know, Hodag Country Fest is a huge four day country music festival that people from all around the nation come to watch. It is a great benefit to the town as so many organizations use this time to fundraise. Many sports teams help with the set up and take down of the grounds as people can camp out for 9 days so stakes need to be planted, grass fields turned into parking lots, and concession stands fixed up for food.

It can be tough after a long week of working and listening to some great music to get up at 7am. But we had plenty of athletes willing to take on this challenge. You even got a partner for this one and trust me, you needed one!

Group Therapy

For Time:

100 Burpees

100 Box Jumps

100 Pull Ups

100 Push Ups

100 Air Squats

100 Sit Ups

100 Swings (55/35)

100 Shoulder Press (45/35)

100 Thrusters (45/35)

100 SDLHP (45/35)

One partner works, one rest, break up reps however you like.

This workout is one that was tougher than meets the eye! You must do them in order as listed which makes it even tougher. Good groups can find a way to evenly find their strengths and weaknesses to make this quick, unseasoned groups just split things evenly. The key is you cannot let yourself blow up by trying to do a lot of reps in a row only to fall flat after your rest time. There is 1000 reps to try and take care of in this one!

New record, two weeks in a row that I remembered all three pictures! Ladies got a new one in this week, can they find two more for the final two weeks?? We even had an 8th grader join us AND get champion of the week!

What a great workout it was! Definitely up there with one of the toughest we've done during champions club. This next one SOUNDS easy...time will tell if it truly is. TWO LEFT! Always tough to say good-bye to the summer for a bunch of reasons but this is one of the things I miss most.

DT

 DT

Fourth Champions Club, the day after the Fourth of July! Now this is a tough one, the fourth is a Thursday night everyone wants to have fun and enjoy themselves which is great but don't forget for some families this day is harder than most. It is a reminder of the sacrifices that their family members have made to ensure our great nation can continue to keep our freedoms. To Honor these families we ALWAYS do a HERO WOD the week of the fourth. For those who don't know what a hero wod is, it is a workout that is dedicated in honor of a military member who has passed away while serving our country.

Today's hero wod was in honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis who was killed February 20th, 2009. More on this HERO HERE.

DT

5 rounds for time

12 Deadlift

9 Hang Powerclean

6 Push Jerk

One barbell, 155/105 is RX wt.

As stated above, this workout is in honor of veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country. That was the quote for the workout, HONOR THE FALLEN. This is tough in more ways than one. IT IS TOUGH to wake up early on a Friday after the Fourth. IT IS TOUGH to be the only friend who is willing to show up and work hard. BUT you know what else is TOUGH, WINNING!!! That's right it shouldn't be a shock to many but nowadays it needs to be stated that WINNING IS TOUGH and LOSING IS EASY. When you choose to do nothing, you lose. That's easy. It is easy to hit snooze. It is easy to let your friends tell you that you don't have to go and do this when they won't be doing it either. It is easy to get outplayed and outmatched on the field, court, pool, and weight room when you don't do anything. Your opponents LOVE when you take the easy route because it makes it that much easy for them to beat you. DON'T do the easy things in life, DO THE HARD THINGS.

I got all three pictures this week! However, ladies it is time to find some more champions among you! We only had one male champion of the week as no new ladies showed up today. Your teams will only be as strong as your weakest link!

Great work to everyone who did the HARD WORK today! Juniors still established a dominant showing, making up over half our champions! Attendance by grade, four freshmen, four sophomores, ten juniors, and one senior. Is this a sign of things to come or was it due to the fourth? Time will tell, with three champions clubs left it certainly will be a great ending run of the summer for those that CHOOSE THE HARD! It will be an even better sports seasons for those who CHOSE HARD all summer!

Welcome!

Iron Mike 2025

Iron Mike Third champions club of the summer! The rain came last night so it was a muddy and wet run for us this morning! We also got to see...
