Fourth Champions Club, the day after the Fourth of July! Now this is a tough one, the fourth is a Thursday night everyone wants to have fun and enjoy themselves which is great but don't forget for some families this day is harder than most. It is a reminder of the sacrifices that their family members have made to ensure our great nation can continue to keep our freedoms. To Honor these families we ALWAYS do a HERO WOD the week of the fourth. For those who don't know what a hero wod is, it is a workout that is dedicated in honor of a military member who has passed away while serving our country.
Today's hero wod was in honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis who was killed February 20th, 2009. More on this HERO
HERE.DT
5 rounds for time
12 Deadlift
9 Hang Powerclean
6 Push Jerk
One barbell, 155/105 is RX wt.
As stated above, this workout is in honor of veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our country. That was the quote for the workout, HONOR THE FALLEN. This is tough in more ways than one. IT IS TOUGH to wake up early on a Friday after the Fourth. IT IS TOUGH to be the only friend who is willing to show up and work hard. BUT you know what else is TOUGH, WINNING!!! That's right it shouldn't be a shock to many but nowadays it needs to be stated that WINNING IS TOUGH and LOSING IS EASY. When you choose to do nothing, you lose. That's easy. It is easy to hit snooze. It is easy to let your friends tell you that you don't have to go and do this when they won't be doing it either. It is easy to get outplayed and outmatched on the field, court, pool, and weight room when you don't do anything. Your opponents LOVE when you take the easy route because it makes it that much easy for them to beat you. DON'T do the easy things in life, DO THE HARD THINGS.
I got all three pictures this week! However, ladies it is time to find some more champions among you! We only had one male champion of the week as no new ladies showed up today. Your teams will only be as strong as your weakest link!

Great work to everyone who did the HARD WORK today! Juniors still established a dominant showing, making up over half our champions! Attendance by grade, four freshmen, four sophomores, ten juniors, and one senior. Is this a sign of things to come or was it due to the fourth? Time will tell, with three champions clubs left it certainly will be a great ending run of the summer for those that CHOOSE THE HARD! It will be an even better sports seasons for those who CHOSE HARD all summer!
